In one line: if you use the free version we store absolutely nothing. If you subscribe to Pro we store your email and your golf bag, nothing else. There are no ads, no trackers, and we do not sell data to anyone.
Who is responsible for your data
David Azulay, with address at Valle del Golf, Córdoba, Argentina. For any question about your data, write to simjasa25@gmail.com.
What data we process, and when
If you use the free version
None. Without an account nothing is written to the device and nothing is sent to our servers. The clubs and settings you enter live in the phone's memory while the app is open and are gone when you close it.
If you have an account but have not subscribed to Pro yet, the only thing stored on the device is your session token, so you don't have to type your password every time. Your bag still never leaves the phone.
If you create an account and subscribe to Pro
- Your email, to identify the account and let you recover it.
- Your password, always stored as a bcrypt hash. Nobody — us included — can read it.
- Your bag: club names, base distances, wind sensitivity, unit of measure and the last conditions you used.
- Your purchase identifier, returned to us by the App Store or Google Play, so we know you have Pro. We never see or store your payment details.
Your location
When you tap "Use the weather where I am", the app asks the system for your coordinates and uses them at that moment to look up the weather and the altitude. Those coordinates:
- are never stored on our servers;
- are not saved on the device;
- only travel to the weather services listed below, and only if you tap that button. They are forwarded through our API because the app's WebView cannot reach third-party domains directly.
If you don't use it, the app never asks for your location.
Third parties we share data with
- WeatherAPI — receives your coordinates to return current wind, temperature and humidity from nearby stations.
- Open-Meteo — receives your coordinates to return the elevation, and the full weather if WeatherAPI is unavailable.
- BigDataCloud — receives your coordinates to return the name of the locality when we fall back to Open-Meteo, for the sole purpose of showing it to you on screen.
- Apple and Google — process in-app purchases and return a receipt that we validate against their servers. The web does not process payments, so we do not share payment data with Stripe.
We use no analytics, advertising, social networks or trackers of any kind.
How long we keep your data
As long as your account exists. If you delete it, we remove your user and your bag immediately and permanently. If your purchase is refunded, your account goes back to the free plan and your bag stops being accessible, but it is kept in case you subscribe again: to really erase it, delete the account.
Your rights
- Delete everything. From your account menu in the app: "Delete my account". No need to write to us or wait.
- Access, correct or object. Write to simjasa25@gmail.com and we answer within 30 days.
- Change your password at any time, which also signs out every session open on other devices.
Security
Passwords are stored with bcrypt. All traffic goes over HTTPS. Sessions use signed tokens that expire after 30 days and are invalidated when the password changes. No system is infallible, but we don't store anything we don't need: that is the best protection we can offer you.
Minors
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from people that age.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date above. If the change significantly affects how we handle your data, we email you before applying it.
